This is the second post in a series about how to dress for various fundraisers. You can read the first post here: How to get dressed for an informal charity benefit. My husband's job involves a lot of networking events, parties, and charities. This one was a benefit for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at the Carltun in Eisenhower Park. Again, I let the invitation be my guide.
Corporate sponsorship on a weeknight often means corporate dress and the "gambling" theme means a little bit of (Vegas, baby) bling won't be completely out of place. Expect a lot of suits and a lot of little black dresses. I'm not into blending so I prefer to dress down a formal dress instead of dressing up a suit, though both work great.
Right from my Poshmark Closet, I might wear:
- Lord & Taylor pink cashmere hooded sweater.
- David Fielden silk evening gown.
- Emanuel Ungaro pink slides.
