Iisli pink hooded blazer from tag sale in Woodbury; American Apparel ribbed tank from tag sale in Woodbury; Ralph Lauren wool mermaid skirt from tag sale in Woodbury (get another gorgeous one here); VST (Very Special Things) Hieroglyph clutch from tag sale in Dix Hills; Elie Tahari Bria boots from Nordstrom Rack in The Gallery at Westbury Plaza; gold swirl breastplate necklace from tag sale in East Hills; Victorian cameo style belt buckle from tag sale in Great Neck; red snakeskin belt from tag sale in Great Neck; Prada Minimal Baroque sunglasses from eBay.
Could there be anything more genius than a blazer with a hood on it? I submit there cannot. I'm loving pink and gray together, especially soft pink. (Though, naturally, I can't help but pile on a bunch of other neutrals and pseudo-neutrals with it.)
I've been looking for a good, semi-casual mermaid skirt for a few years now. Mermaid skirts are the Holy Grail of skirts for fat-bottomed girls. Trust me. I especially love about this one that it's hobble-width right at the knee. No one asked me to move any furniture in this outfit and I got to discuss Canarsie (my hometown) and extra fabulous drag queens (my makeup idols).
I got the bag two years ago and only now got around to carrying it. I must have been waiting for this skirt.
