Big Ring Collection
Wear Big Rings. That's pretty much my motto. Actually, my motto with all jewelry is that it should be big if I'm going to wear it.
So I've been on this mission to take pictures of All of the Things. This way I can be inspired right in my own closet and, hopefully, have less of those nothing to wear days. Other people might cull their closet if they had too many of those days (and I'm working on that, too) but I'm an excessive person. I like pretty things, ugly things, interesting things, and lots of them. And I haven't had any of those days at all since I started the take pictures of All of the Things project.
I also like seeing how much of my closet came from tag sales and other secondhand outlets versus retail. When it comes to jewelry, the answer is: almost all of it. Over 90 percent. I haven't done the exact math, but my clothes, bags, and accessories are a little more of a mix of retail and secondhand and my shoes are closer to half and half. This makes a lot of sense to me because it's very easy to buy jewelry secondhand. Almost everything fits. Same with bags, scarves, accessories. When you're small like me, a wide variety of clothing sizes fit, too. Less so with shoes.
Anyway, here are a bunch of my rings. When they're not big, they're generally intricate, like my wedding band or the tiger ring.
