Who the Hell Are You?

A quick note about who I am and why I'm writing this blog. I work for my Mother-To-Be's Long Island tag sale company: Gold Coast Tag Sales. As such, I have pretty good working knowledge of running a tag sale company without all the hassles and competitive strain of actually running one. I have time to connect with tag sale customers, homeowners, dealers and other people who contribute to tag sale fanaticism.

I'm currently a part-time (Math) student and part-time worker with enough time to visit other tag sales, garage sales, yard sales, estate sales, moving sales, whatever-they're-calling-it sales. (There are subtle nuances between the names in the Long Island scene.)

I'm also significantly more computer capable than the vast majority of people I've met in the biz. (It's not difficult and I'm not THAT capable.) But there's a lot of things to say about a lot of these people and no where to say them. So here I am.

I will probably include things going on in my own life that seem to have nothing to do with tag sales. I think that, as a tag sale junkie myself, these things are relevant to understanding the mindset of someone immersed in this world.

Anyway, welcome. I'd love to hear a little bit about who YOU are.

  1. Just started reading your blog, didn't realize that you had one until yesterday.

I'm not sure that I know what a tag sale is, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

  2. Yeah, I wasn't making a big announcement about it until I had a little more solid content. I'm glad you're here! (And I'll be talking about exactly what a tag sale IS soon.)

Let's dance.
